God speaks to Abraham!

Abram lived in the city of Ur.  He helped his father, Terah, who was a merchant. After Sargon's death, Terah was worried. Many cities near Ur were under attack. He took his family to live in Haran.  After Terah died, his son Abram thought he should ask the gods what to do. Abram took a walk one night and God spoke to him! God told Abram to go to Canaan. God said, "If you obey and worship me, You will be the father of a new nation.  I will give the whole land of Canaan to you and your children." God changed Abram's name to Abraham and his wife's name from Sarai to Sarah. God gave Abraham and Sarah a son in there old age. His name was Isaac.  Isaac had a son named Jacob and Jacob had twelve sons. Those twelve sons became the ancestors of the nation of Israel.

This is the view from history, folks.  I hope you had a nice time reading it.  I had an amazing time typing it.  Check back soon. Bye for now! :]
