Problems with Pinching and Biting

So my  mom and I were just talking about when I was a little girl---around  4 years old.  At the time my little sister was about 1 year old, and in a "pinching and biting phase," and I was usually  the chosen victim of her abuse!  My mom tried everything, mini-time-outs and even gently slapping Katie's hand.  Eventually, my mom said that the next time Katie attacked, I would have to pinch her or bite her back.  "But it will hurt her!" I wailed, not wanting to frighten my baby sister. Mom said, "She's hurting you, Sweets, and it's not okay."  

Not long after, our peaceful home erupted with ear-shattering screams from baby Kate.  I ran frantically into the room where my mother was.  "I pinched Katie!" I sobbed, with tears streaming down my face.  Trying not  to laugh, my mom consoled me, saying "It's okay.  That's what you had to do".  My little sister has not bitten or pinched me since---YAY!

The First Day of School

My day started as usual--- leftovers for breakfast. I did  pretty much nothing for about two hours, then my sister got up.  We played for about thirty minutes, then my mom got up.  It was time for us to start school and get some real breakfast.  : )

We started with history. We began making a family tree.  We don't have our math curriculum yet, so math was done on the computer, and so was grammar.  I guess I was a little excited because I did three lessons! Last we did geography, which took way too long.  I guess my sister and I are out of practice, because I couldn't get my brain to work during our copywork.  Sometime, in the middle of all of this, we worked out by doing a dance video from Netflix.  I learned that my mom can dance!  LOL!

I'm excited about having my own blog.  My mom says I can use it to keep family members informed, or type about my day, or the things I am thinking.  Mom also says it might be a good place to write about what I'm learning.
